We are a learning society. We spend many years and countless hours learning things in school, taking refresher courses, pursuing post-graduate level course work, and internet classes. Yet, when someone does not succeed, it is a truly enlightened individual that remembers to label it for what it is … a learning experience. People that are able to recognize this when it shows up in their own lives are able to use it to their advantage. If fact, they are typically very successful because they possess a “willingness to fail”. They are able to look at what most would consider a failure, as a means to get to their final destination. Just because they go off-track temporarily does not mean they are not even closer to their target. It is simply targeting, realigning, and targeting again until whatever they are after is achieved.

It is often said that children can be cruel, but it is adults that are cruel. Adults would never look at a young child attempting something and label that child a failure. They would say “Aww, Sally that’s okay, that was a good try, you’ll get it next time!” They might even remark to another adult that it’s so wonderful to see how far Sally has come over the past few weeks. As adults we forget that life is a constant growth process. We are always capable of learning no matter how old we are, and we should continue to take risks. We should never be fearful of failure because failure is just another form of constructive criticism. Why is it constructive criticism? Because criticism that fosters lessons and growth that are expressed in a non-threatening manner is constructive. It is the only form of criticism that is in alignment with the universe, and positive self-talk is the best way to approach our endeavors.

If fear of failure is keeping you from attempting something you long to do, ask yourself why you are letting it worry you. Is not taking a chance by doing something, much more courageous than doing nothing at all? If everyone thought of failure as a major obstacle, we would not have the technological advancements that we currently so accustomed to. How many times did Sir Isaac Newton have to be bonked on the head before he made sense of the Law of Gravity? What about Benjamin Franklin and his kite, or scientists and their cures and vaccines? The point is we would still be in the Dark Ages, if various inventors, scientists and others had refused to step out of their comfort zones and dare to take a chance at failure. Isn’t it time you made your mark?

Failure is just one step in the right direction to the ultimate goal of growth and success. Don’t be afraid to try new things, stretch beyond your comfortable limits and stray off-course. The worse that can happen is that you’ll fail, learn from that instance and have to try something new. So, dust off those rollerblades, go take that snowboarding lesson, or go sign up for that class, life is too short to play it safe all the time. Go fail, er I mean learn!

Motorola Razr for CDMA Users

Motorola is marketing different phones for men and women. Moto’s
newest line of pink and blue Razr offspring seems to assume that
there are men who will prefer blue and women who will want the
pink one. They’re probably right!

The classic Silver Motorola Razr captured the lion’s share of
new cell phone buying over the past year or so, causing Motorola
to encroach on Nokia’s enviable leading position.

Motorola is planning to cash in on its huge success with the
razor thin look and feel of the original Razr v3. The NPD Group,
a leading cellular market researcher, found that Motorola cell
phone sales accounted for 30% of the 31.6 million cell phones
sold in the third quarter of 2005. The Motorola V3i with iTunes
software and the Pink and Blue cell phones promise to give
Motorola an ever-increasing share of the cell phone market.

People who care about how they look or want to make a statement,
will be the first to get their Motorola Razr fix. These Razr
thin phones are ceating a lot of attention - making them
must-haves in some circles.

Mazal Tov!

The Motorola Razor family is growing by four new members;
Motorola RAZR Pink (RAZR PNK?) and Razr Blue, (RAZR BLU?) plus
two new versions - Motorola CDMA RAZR for Verizon with EVDO and
Motorola RAZR V3i (with iTunes). The new Razr phones include all
the great features as the original models. The Blue and Pink
versions are really style updates designed to make your cell
phone an accessory - like a stylish watch.

The new CDMA version of Razr (for Verizon) will satisfy the
appetite of Verizon Wireless subscribers who have long ogled
over Cingular and T-Mobile’s Razr offerings. The Razr V3i aims
to redeem Motorola’s slightly tarnished reputation when it comes
to MP3 phones. Unlike the Rocker which had only music going for
it, with the Razr V3i the MP3 capability is essentially an
add-on.

The Motorola has not made a statement about the chosen carrier
for the Motorola v3i many are speculating that Cingular is the
choice. Besides being Razr thin like the original Razr v3 the
new v3i has added appeal with the inclusion of the Apple i-Tunes
software like on the Motorola ROKR released in September in by
Cingular, Apple and Motorola. Cingular just slashed the price of
the Motorola ROKR by 40% and several leading cell phone dealers
like AmericanCell and YouNeverCall now have the Motorola phone
available for free with the purchase of a new Cingular plan.

Until now the Motorola Rokr is the only cell phone around that
plays tunes from the iTunes Music Store. Another new addition to
the ever increasing Motorola Razr family is new Razr VC which
operates on networks of CDMA standard wireless EVDO. Christmas
holiday season shopping has now been enhanced with the inclusion
of the Razr V3i which sports a 1.23-megapixel digital camera
with 8x digital zoom, video capture and a full-screen
viewfinder.

Additional features include a hot plugging memory card, a
display with sixty-five K color support and built-in Bluetooth.
For the late summer-early fall season Motorola earned a profit
of $1.75 billion on revenue of $9.42 billion. Motorola stated
that its monetary gains for this period were all due to the
tremendous success of the Motorola Razr v3. Now Motorola is
hoping to further push its financial gains for the next quarter!
We’ll wait and see.

In I Peter 3:15, we are admonished to live a surrendered life; one that will “set apart Christ”, as Lord in our hearts. This means we’re to allow Him to exercise His Lordship over every area of our life.

Perhaps one of the hardest things for an unmarried Christian to yield, to the Lord, is their love life. Scripture abounds with examples of men who were unwilling to surrender themselves, completely, to the Lord, in this area, and how they suffered because of it. Romans 15:4 says, “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us …”
Let’s look into the lives of Solomon, David, Samson, and Jacob (men, with unsurrendered love lives) and see what God would have us to learn from their experience.
Moreover, let’s examine our own lives as well, to discover whether or not we have truly surrendered our all.
First of all, consider Solomon. God gave Solomon a discerning heart that enabled him to distinguish between right and wrong. To this, He added great insight and a breath of understanding as measureless as the sand of the shore. The Bible says there never was nor will there ever be a man with the wisdom of Solomon. (I Kings 3:9-12; 4:29-31).
Though he was wisest of men, he was still very foolish. For, he allowed his involvement with heathen women to take precedence over what he knew to be right. God tried to warn him. But, he wouldn’t listen. He chose, instead, to love women who led him astray, turning his heart away from God.
Solomon reaped a bitter harvest because of the rebellion he sowed. The affect of his transgression was felt not only by Solomon, but also by his son; an innocent victim of his father’s sin. Read about it in I Kings 11:1-13.
Next, we have David. David was a man with a heart toward God. He shared a relationship with Him that was unique. They had a closeness and an intimacy we should all strive to attain. God was pleased with David, calling him a “man after His own heart.” David, however, when it came to the affairs of the heart, never even considered that God may desire the right to exercise His Lordship even there. He had an adulterous affair with Bath-sheba, arranged to have her husband killed, and paid for it all with the death of his son (II Samuel 11:1-27 12:7-23).
How his heart must have broke when Nathan the prophet confronted him with his sin, giving him this prophetic message from God: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. 9 Why did you despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes?” (II Samuel 7b-9a).
Then, we have Samson. Samson also teaches us about unsurrendered love. Samson had been separated unto the Lord since birth. He was a man God appointed to judge His nation, Israel. The Spirit of God came upon him in power; empowering him with an unusual amount of strength. He was strong and yet weak, at least whenever Delilah was concerned. Because of his attraction to her, Samson paid a price.
Her love caused him to suffer physically, emotionally, and spiritually. He suffered physically because he lost the sight of both of his eyes. He suffered emotionally because he was betrayed by the woman he cherished most. He suffered spiritually because he lost his relationship with the Lord. Samson’s unsurrendered love life cost him in every area of his life (Judges 16:4-21).
Finally, there was Jacob. Jacob had a deep appreciation for spiritual things. He longed to gain possession of the birthright, the blessing, and all that went with them. They were so important to him that he schemed and connived, deceiving even those closest to him, just so he could have them as his own. (Genesis 25:29-34; 27:1-40).
He got what he wanted. He would be the one to inherit the promises, given to Abraham and Isaac, in Genesis 22:15-18. But, it was going to be accomplished according to God’s plan, not his. And what was God’s plan for Jacob? It was for him to have Leah. The only problem was, Jacob wanted Rachel. Still, it was going to be Leah who would bear him a son who would one day head the Levitical priesthood. And it would be Leah who would bring forth Judah, a son who would head the tribe of Judah, the tribe from which the promised Messiah would come (Genesis 35:23).
Jacob got what he wanted however, he did receive Rachel as his wife but it cost him. He paid a high price for her, because from this day forward there would no longer be any peace in his home. There was always to be a constant bickering between his wives, each vying for his attention, both envious of the other. When Jacob was given Leah as his bride, he’d felt as if he’d been deceived, when in reality it was only God’s way of keeping His promise to him.
Jacob was fascinated by Rachel. The Bible says she was “lovely in form and beautiful.” Leah was “tender-eyed and had delicate features.” It was God’s perfect will for Jacob to have Leah. But, his desire was for Rachel–she appealed to his flesh.
What about you? Have you surrendered your love life to the Lord? Are you allowing Him to have His say concerning whom you date, or whom you marry?
Maybe you’re like Solomon. God may have already given you a definite ‘no’ concerning a relationship, yet you’ve chosen to ignore His voice; willing, instead, to suffer the consequences. Learn from Solomon and always remember, when you play tug-of-war with the Lord, you’ll always come out the loser.
Or, perhaps you’re like David once was. Ninety-nine percent sold out to the Lord. yet still clinging to that one percent; refusing to acknowledge His Lordship in this area. We need to always remember that God wants our all, or nothing at all. (Revelation 3:15-16), and learn from David’s experience.
Or, maybe you’re like Samson; so caught up in a present love affair that your relationship with the Lord has suffered to the point where it is almost non-existent. We need to always remember Samson and never let anything, or anyone, interfere with our walk with the Lord.
Or, could it be that you’re like Jacob was, right in the middle of the will of God and yet too blind to see it? Your eyes constantly drawn to only those “lovely in form” while God may be trying to say to you, “Look, with me on the heart, that’s what is really important; the hidden person of the heart.” (I Samuel 16:7, I Peter 3:3-6). We need to learn from Jacob and seek to discover God’s perfect will for our lives, instead of demanding His permissive will.
Bear in mind that all of these men were spiritually strong and growing in the Lord. They all had a close relationship with Him. They all loved Him, wholeheartedly. Yet, they were all unsuccessful in relinquishing their love lives to Him. Notice, also, that both David and Solomon were married men. So, even those who are married must, still, guard against having unsurrendered love.
I pray that we can learn from the mistakes these men made and I thank God that we have a forgiving Father, full of mercy and grace: One that will give us a second chance when we fall, if only we promise to once again “set apart Christ” as Lord in our hearts. (I Peter 3:15).

I am one of those people who can easily slip into a very negative state of mind. The slightest knockback or problem can lead to a cloud of doom descending over me, a cloud which I find hard to push away and remove. This article looks at ways in which we can fight back, to quickly get us back into a happy mode.

I used to be quite a fragile character, some would say that I was even scared of my own shadow. I was always paranoid that people were talking about me and laughing behind my back.

Even though my parents are superb, I was not a happy child or a happy teenager. I am so unlucky you see or so I thought. I walked around as if the world owed me something and would often feel very sorry for myself. I was bullied at school, it was more mental bullying rather than anything physical. I am sure that most people also get bullied and deal with it. It would leave me in a state of panic and depression. Looking back I have to say I was a bit of a wimp in reality.

I decided that enough was enough by my mid-twenties and decided it was time to toughen up. I could not continue to live my life as I had been, as I would probably be dead by the time I was fifty.

I then went about a self-help program to increase my overall self-confidence and self-esteem. I wanted to learn more about stress-management, dealing with depression, relaxation and about how to become successful in life.

What I found out over the next twelve to eighteen months would change my life forever.

These are the things I had to do:

I had to stop feeling sorry for myself. Yes I am not perfect but who is.

I had to think in a more positive way.

I had to stop worrying about the future.

I had to stop caring what other people thought of me.

I needed to smile more.

I needed to learn to relax. I now use meditation for this purpose.

I had to learn to like myself.

I needed to become stronger to fight away the negative thoughts in my head.

I needed to appreciate what I did have in life, rather than concentrating on what I had not.

I started to implement the above and it helped me no end. That horrible cloud of doom, still descended however, around once a month. When it does descend, I now write two lists. What I am happy about in life and what I am sad or worrying about. I then analyse both lists and more times than not, I am actually over-reacting.

In conclusion, life is a battle. There are good times and bad. We need to become strong and learn to think in a more positive way. We have to fight back against people who bully us and against the voices in our head who are trying to make us panic. This is not easy, however with determination people are able to turn their life around just like I have.

I used to feel anger towards the people who bullied me at school. I now feel sorry for them. They are the bad apples and I prey for them. I prey that God will one day make them pure.

The decisions we make everyday have a big impact on where we are in life, both spiritually and physically. Often these decisions are the ’safe’ choices. People don’t often venture too far off from familiar paths or too far out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. As Aristotle the great Greek philosopher said, “Man perpetuates the familiar,” and especially teens. The obvious reason not wanting to appear different than their friends. They are afraid of being teased or ostracized from their peer group if they venture too far. They rather let opportunities pass them by than be shunned by the group that helpes define them.

Teenagers do you find yourself in a rut? If so, be honest with yourself and determine why. Are your friends holding you back from venturing forth? Are you concerned about what they might say? If they are true friends they will be the first to encourage you, if they don’t, ask yourself, then ask them why. The answer you arrive at should indicate to you whether they are a true friend. Odds are they will be encouraging and perhaps follow your lead. You will have then become a trend setter. Be bold and rise above the crowd. Start immediately. All progress starts but with a single step.

Parents help your teen with gentle encouragement. Perhaps post notes on their pillow or in their lunch bag. Let them know how much you believe in them.

As a runner the most important piece of equipment you can have are your shoes.
This is the reason that runners spend a great deal of time checking out shoes, until they find the best running shoes for their feet, not only for the fit, but also for the kind of running, and training they will be doing.

Whatever you do, you must not pick a shoe because it looks good in the shop, so what are you to do to make sure you pick the right shoe, because be reassured there could be several shoes that will be right for your feet and your running requirements.

How do you find the right shoe, and why is that so important?

The scope of this article is limited, so rather than try to make recommendations, which will probably be wrong, as I don’t know anything at all about your feet, or your requirements.

In other words, are you going to use them as track shoes or trail shoes. There is a huge difference between running on a flat track, and on a boulder strewn, wet, muddy trail!!

Add to this the fact that your feet will hit the ground hard over 1600 times every mile that you run.
If your footwear is the wrong size or unsuited to your biomechanical needs, you are going to find it uncomfortable, probably annoying, and even worse it could lead to injury.

What is the right shoe for my feet?

A combination of a good fit and excellent biomechanics.
The fit is obvious, but what do I mean by biomechanics?
Put simply it is all about a word called pronation.

Pronation is the natural movement of your feet when they touch the ground.
All feet roll inwards as the ball of the foot touches the ground. You can either check this out yourself by looking at the wear patterns on your old running shoes.

If you tend to wear out your shoes first on the outside, you probably tend to underpronate; if you wear out your shoes first significantly more to the inside, look for a shoe for over-pronators.

It isn’t complicated but you would do well to find someone with experience as a runner to watch you running from behind before you make a new purchase.

There are four categories based on the degree of pronation.

1. Neutral Pronation, require shoes with a good balance of stability and flexibility.
2. Under Pronation has not enough foot motion, and they require good cushioning and flexibility in their running shoes
3. Moderate Over Pronation require Stability Trainers
4. Severe Over Pronation requires Motion-control trainers.

You should by now have worked out your pronation factor, so your shoe selection must be governed by this.

The other consideration is shoe fit, and the easiest judgement, is does it feel good, and is there room between the end of your longest toe and the front of the shoe. The shoe needs to feel snug at the heel, and comfortable.

At the end of the day, if you have used and liked a particular make of running shoe, then stick with that brand, but make sure you are buying the correct shoe model bearing in mind your pronation factor.

Attempts to use the worldwide Web as an effective means of struggle against bureaucracy are undertaken constantly and sometimes successfully. Today it is possible to fill in a tax declaration, apply for bankruptcy or to receive a legal consultation. And lately there are sites offering online divorce services.

It is usually easier to marry than to divorce, especially if the spouses who wish to do so must divide their common property as well.

Divorce is extremely difficult business in rich families. For wealthy Americans in this case, it is accepted that the former husband or wife may pay rather large sums of money for the divorce process. It is not enough that the divorce in itself involves strong emotional stress, so they also pay an extra thousand on top of the $10-20,000 to lawyers to carry out this occupation, and sometimes it is even more.

Why should we lose the money and time applying for divorce, if there is the cheap and fast alternative - divorce online. You find the site, take your mouse, you press on the button - and you are a divorced person. With a minimum of formalities, as in Las Vegas, for the conclusion of a failed marriage appears the divorce.

To terminate a marriage on site, a couple wanting to apply for divorce need only a credit card and a computer with access to the Internet. The divorce case was finished within 30 minutes and cost $199.

People who hate discussing and relaying specific instances in dialogues with lawyers use the services of the site. In the virtual world of divorce, the couple that does not require court, after inputting all necessary data for divorce, merely prints the forms, signs them, and sends them to the judge. That is all.

The high cost of lawyers has not forced people to refuse divorce. The deep reasons for divorce lie in the emotional - sensual sphere. The most painful and unpleasant situation is dialogue with a third party hired to engage in and bear your personal problems in general divorce discussion.

The founder and head of a company like Legalhelper.org that supplies online documents for divorce disagrees with the opinion of opponents that cheap divorce can minimize the importance of divorce. It is true that the divorce will cost them only $199 but this will not push the majority of people to end less-considered marriages faster and more often. Similarly, the high cost of lawyers has not forced people to refuse divorce. The deep reasons for divorce lie in the emotional - sensual sphere. The most painful and unpleasant situation is dialogue with a third party hired to engage in and bear your personal problems in general discussion.

Note that Legalhelper.net provides an easy-to-use, quick, and economical online method for creating completed legal forms from its site for your uncontested divorce (either no-fault divorce or fault divorce).

You’ve seen it happen many times. An organization that provides top wages and benefits loses a great employee to a competitor for no apparent reason. Of course, some employee turnover is to be expected, but if your company is truly engaging your employees, there is no good reason for the unexpected loss of quality staff members. Many companies already know that wages and benefits are important to employees, but compensation alone is not enough to keep the highly skilled, motivated and experienced workforce your business needs to excel.

Defining Employee Engagement

What is employee engagement exactly? AlphaMeasure defines employee engagement as the level of commitment and involvement an employee has towards their organization and its values.

The primary behaviors of engaged employees are speaking positively about the organization to coworkers, potential employees and customers, having a strong desire to be a member of the organization, and exerting extra effort to contribute to the organization’s success. Many smart organizations work to develop and nurture engagement. It is important to note, the employee engagement process does require a two-way relationship between employer and employee.

Why is Employment Engagement so important?

An organization’s capacity to manage employee engagement is closely related to its ability to achieve high performance levels and superior business results.

Engaged employees will stay with the company, be an advocate of the company and its products and services, and contribute to bottom line business success. Engaged employees also normally perform better and are more motivated. There is a significant link between employee engagement and profitability. Employee engagement is critical to any organization that seeks not only to retain valued employees, but also increase its level of performance.

Factors of Engagement

Many organizational factors influence employee engagement and retention such as:

  • A culture of respect where outstanding work is valued
  • Availability of constructive feedback and mentoring
  • Opportunity for advancement and professional development
  • Fair and appropriate reward, recognition and incentive systems
  • Availability of effective leadership
  • Clear job expectations
  • Adequate tools to complete work responsibilities
  • High levels of motivation

Many other factors exist that might apply to your particular business and the importance of these factors will also vary within your organization.

Engagement Essentials

How will you know to what degree your employees are engaged? The first step is to determine the current level of employee engagement. The best tool to determine this base line is a comprehensive employee satisfaction survey. A well administered satisfaction survey will let you know at what level of engagement your employees are operating. Customizable employee surveys will provide you with a starting point towards your efforts to optimize employee engagement.

The key to successful employee satisfaction surveys is to pay close attention to the feedback from your staff. This is the only way to identify their specific concerns. When leaders listen, employees respond by becoming more engaged. This results in increased productivity and employee retention. Engaged employees are much more likely to be satisfied in their positions, remain with the company, be promoted, and strive for higher levels of performance.

Listening to employee ideas, acting on employee contributions and actively involving employees in decision making are essential to employee engagement.

Taking Action to Improve Employee Engagement

Nothing is more discouraging to employees than to be asked for their feedback and see no movement toward resolution of their issues. Even the smallest actions taken to address concerns will let your staff know that their input is valued. Feeling valued will boost morale, motivate and encourage future input.

Taking action starts with listening to employee feedback. Then the data needs to be analyzed. Next, a definitive action plan will need to be put in place and finally, change will be implemented. It is important that employee engagement is not viewed as a one time action. Employee engagement should be a continuous process of measuring, analyzing, defining and implementing.

What is the Alternative to Employee Engagement?

Conditions that prevent employee engagement seldom alleviate themselves. They should be assessed and addressed as soon as possible. Left to multiply, negative employee satisfaction issues can result in:

  • Higher employee turnover - Employees leave, taking their reservoir of knowledge and experience to another workplace
  • Diminished performance - Competency of the workforce is reduced, at least short term, until new employees are trained
  • Lost training dollars - Time and money invested in training and development programs for departing workers is wasted
  • Lower morale - Remaining employees can be overburdened with new duties, in addition the unresolved issues that already prevent their full engagement

How Can You Attain Employee Engagement?

Listen to your employees and remember that this is a continuous process. The information your employees supply will provide direction. Insist upon increased engagement at the managerial level, and create and deploy a customized employee satisfaction survey from AlphaMeasure to assess your current level of employee engagement. Identify problem areas, make a plan and take action towards improvement.

Many times, people have asked, “Why should I waste time and money getting a degree for a medical billing specialist since I could do the job without a degree?”

The answer to that question would be that you should get your degree, as it is not a waste of time or money. Medical billing specialists are skilled workers and they have attended and successfully graduated college to carry out their duties. It is a common myth that an education is not needed since ads often trick people into thinking they can make thousands with no experience. That’s not true in any case.

Medical Billing Specialists have acquired such skills as:

  • Filling out several types of complex insurance claim forms,
  • Comprehending insurance guidelines, procedures and claims submission process,
  • Analyzing Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms to guarantee that insurance companies have properly assessed and paid for charges,
  • Following-up with insurance companies as well as with patients to make sure that bills are not paid late, and
  • Creating accounts receivable reports for clients.

Medical Billing and Coding

It is, in fact, necessary that you enroll yourself into a program so that you can learn all the above-mentioned skills. Because billing greatly depends on codes entered into the system, medical coding and billing are connected in teachings at most any school.

Over my years of experience in doing business on the Internet I have noticed two things that prevent most people from making any kind of money with a part time business.

First most people are led to believe, or come to their own conclusion, that what ever happens on the Internet should happen fast, including building and becoming successful at business.
Secondly most people tend to wander around aimlessly thinking that they need to find the information themselves instead of asking.

Both of these observations lead me to believe that most people, although starting with enthusiasm and interest, quickly loose both in frustration. Believe me I did the same thing until I sat back and analyzed what I was doing. Thinking about the reality of running a business, with millions of other competitors looking for the same customers, I knew I needed help, a focus, a plan, and patience. I thought if I had enough patience to wait for investments to grow over a number of years, then I could take time to learn the business of doing business online. The best part for you is that I am going to pass all of that information on to you.
Again you need to accept that building your multiple streams of income will take time. If you started a bricks and mortar business everyone would tell you that it would take five years to become successful. You need to take that same attitude towards your online business.
