The mens watch you choose to wear says a lot about who you are. It depicts your personality and tastes, what interests you have and your lifestyle. A watch is a great way to keep track of your life so you will prepare yourself for years to come. With the help of this guide, you can choose a watch that has all of the features you want most, and get a timepiece that is uniquely you.

Do you typically go for the sophisticated or the sporty look? Dress watches commonly are crafted to complement suits and slide with easy underneath shirt cuffs. Being heavier, sport watches are able to handle greater physical pressure, are more waterproof and shock resistant. If you can’t decide between a dress watch or a sports watch you can purchase a dress-sports watch. Leather and exotic alligator are two of the soft materials that straps are made from. Stronger materials such as precious metals, steel, or rubber are used to make bracelets. Straps provide you with an inexpensive way to change your style, but a bracelet will be more durable and last longer.

The engine is what controls a watches movement. Mechanical and quartz are the two basic types. Operated by batteries, quartz is the depandable ongoing option. For the best in practicallity and accuracy get this one. Switzerland created the form of art that is creating automatic watches. A traditional winding mechanism is used in a hand built movement.A watch face is protected with crystal over the top. A sapphire is very resistant to scratches, but mineral crystal often costs much less.

Many dress watches are studded with sapphires. Because sport watches need to be rough and tumble they tend to use mineral crystal rather than sapphire because sapphire might shatter.Retirement is not the only thing that gold watches are for anymore. If you have enough money a great rule of thumb is that both the gold and platinum cases are timeless dress choices. The next best choice is surgical grade steel that is plated with gold, platinum or ion. Black is a current trend, commonly achieved by iron plating. Regardless of the type of plating used, the more coats it is given, the better the outcome. For an in depth guide visit designer watches.

Fall, with all its spectacular colors, is finally here.

Halloween is just around the corner, followed by Thanksgiving and before we know it; Christmas.

Don’t you just love decorating your house and yard for all these seasons? I do to.

Let’s face the facts; it gets very expensive doing this year after year. So how do you limit your spending? Do it yourself!

If you have not done anything like this before it may sound like a drag but believe me, seeing your own homemade decorations around your house will give you a great feeling.

Not to mention if you have kids. They love creating their own decorations and the look on their face when they see the finished product on display is worth every minute of it.

Your friends and family will love getting gifts that are homemade. It makes them feel special that you have taken the time.

Homemade gifts from the grandkids are guaranteed a success and will take center stage on the mantel.

Arts and crafts can be made into a fun time for the whole family. It is not only for the women. There is so much out there that can be made out of wood and other so called masculine materials.

If you have never done this before and you do not know how, don’t worry. There is so many books and programs out there that can give you great patterns regardless if you are a new beginner or you have done this for years.

It is unbelievable how many people are making some extra money by selling what they make. You can to.

Only your imagination is your limit when it comes to what you can make.

Success is the result of certain habits and attitudes. There is no mystery; no secret society you must join. It is a mathematic equation: Think certain thoughts + do certain things = success.

If you look, these success habits and attitudes are everywhere. Yours for the taking. However, to work for you they must be internalized. They must become a part of you, your natural way.

To make this internalization process work for you, you must focus on the habit/attitude long enough for it to sink in. Focus + Time = Internalization.

In sport, athletes train for years, with coaches, to make certain movements natural. If you have to think during competition, you’ve already lost.

Reading an article like this, reading a book, or going to a seminar gives you an introduction to the habit or attitude. If the information has great meaning for you and you apply it right away and continue to use it, everyday, you have adopted a new success habit/attitude.

But think back to the last book you read. If it was a good book you probably came across several ideas that made sense and would help you succeed. But each idea was forgotten by the time you were on the next chapter thinking about the new idea being discussed.

This is not a weakness in you. It is human nature.

People Become or Achieve What They Focus On.

Once you incorporate that basic fact into your life you can succeed at anything you are willing to do.

This brings us back to the beginning of this article: Think certain thoughts + do certain things = success.

The certain thoughts and certain things are success habits/attitudes like desire, purpose, persistence, etc.

To internalize these success habits/attitudes you must reinforce them continually. You must focus on a single habit/attitude at a time for them to become a natural part of you. The more you do to bombard yourself with one focused topic at a time the stronger
you will internalize it.

As they become part of you, each habit/attitude mesh and reinforce each other for a synergistic result. The whole is stronger than each of its parts.

That synergistic result is desire. Our mind/body is very smart. We cannot fool it. If it doesn’t believe we are capable of doing something, it won’t let us do it. It turns down the
flame of desire and we don’t have the energy to even try.

You can reprogram your mind/body to believe and turn up the flames of desire. Once you really believe, nothing can stop you. It’s like a huge pot of water on a stove. If all the
burners are off, there is no heat - no desire. Turn on a burner and the water starts to heat up. Turn on all the burners and so much heat is built up; steam must be released.
This steam is DESIRE.

The great thing is that this stove exists in real life, in each of us. Each burner is a success habit/attitude. The labels say: Dreams, Goals, Do It, Persistence, etc.

You can read an article or go to a seminar and turn 2 or 3 burners on all the way, producing a lot of steam - desire. What nobody tells you is that every burner needs a constant supply of gas. Without a constant supply of gas the flame goes out.

Keep supplying the gas long enough and internalization occurs. At this point you have permanently opened the gas valve all the way to keep the burner going. This continual heat builds the steam of your desire.

But one burner, on high, is not likely to build steam. It will produce heat and some action. A step in the right direction. To get steam going you need lots of burners adding to the heat. Internalize many success habit/attitudes and the steam has to blow the top off the pot.

It takes 21 days to build a habit. Focus your attention for an entire month on each individual success habit/attitude and you will blow the top off your pot. Throughout the day, everyday, reinforce the success habit/attitude of the month.

Every month focus on a different success habit/attitude. Stir it and let it simmer inside of you everyday for a month. Let the constant reinforcement turn the knob higher and higher
until the gas stays on and becomes a part of you.

Do that month after month, turn on burner after burner and blow your top.

***365 of the planet’s richest people, (including Bill Gates), have as

is
only 43 more people than were in 1st Class on the TITANIC! [There were
322

keep
billions poor, many homeless! In this ordered Universe, there are

the

instead of sharing, which was part of their deal that they ignore. In

from animals, but began our existence as human; should we now act like
the
instinctual animals that live by “the survival of the fittest”, where

Tips to help you save time while keeping your home clean!
My to do list is longer than my kids spelling list. I find that over half of my to do items must be done immediately. The other half of my chores need to be done in order to keep myself from having more work later. So time management is always a challange for me.

The kitchen is one of those chores that has to be done immediately. Afterall, if you do not clean up after breakfast, you have to weed through th emess to fix the next meal. Which in turn creates more work for you. The more work you have the less time for soap operas and bon bons!

In my quest for more bon bons, I’ve come up with some shortcuts to kitchen clean ups. Many times you can use the “do as you go” approach to cleaning. If you take certain steps as you go, clean up will be easier. Hopefully you’ll find my short cuts helpful too.

When mixing foods, use a larger bowl than is needed. This will give you plenty of room for splatters to stay inside the bowl and off your walls. If a larger bowl is not available, simply cut a hole in the center of a paper plate and stick the beaters through the holes. Splatters will be kept inside by the plate.

Cleaning grease splatters must be my least favorite chore. It rates up there with the toilet. You can help keep the grease in the pan when frying by placing a colander upside down over the pan. THe air can get in to cook the food, and the grease will stay inside underneath the colander. Turn a cookie sheet upside down over the burners not in use. Lets face it, I’d rather clean a cookie sheet than scrub three additional burners. That’s what dishwashers are for. You can also buy a decorative burner cover. Most dollar stores sell these in sets of four. Thay too are easy to toss into the dishwasher. Aluminum foil works great also, but the cost is greater in the long run.

Before you start cooking, grab a paper towel to place your spoon on. If you use a spoon rest, you’ll have to wash it. Remember your goal is to have more time for bon bons. You can use the same paper towel or napkin for the entire day. Toss it into the garbage after dinner and your counter will be clean. Great thing about this tip, is that is costs only pennies a week.

If you have to spray a pan wth a non stick cooking spray, place the pan inside the sink first. The sticky spray residue will be in the sink and not on the counter. Or skip the spray and line the pan with aluminum foil. Once again the aluminum foil with more costly in the long run. Even more so if you make your own spray. But the convience of throwing away the mess may be worth the cost to you. Your time is worth money also. Make sure to spray your pets food bowl before placing food into it also. Makes for a easy clean up of the pets bowl.

Last but not least, always make sure to use the vent above your stovetop when cooking. Even if you don’t see the grease, it is there. This helps prevent the thick sticky film that always follow a meal.

Now that you are equiped with these time saving cleaning tips, get back to your soap operas and bon bons. Afterall, that is all we do anyway right!

Useful Links & Things

Need information? Don’t know who to ask or where to turn? Here
are some useful links and information sources that will respect
YOU and your privacy.

Abuse:

Most of us don’t know a lot about Child Abuse - what it is and
what the results can be. This information is written for young
people like you who want to know more. You may be reading this
because you’re concerned about yourself or about a friend, or
just because you’re interested in the subject.

As you get older, you start making important decisions about
relationships with family and friends, school, and health.

How you feel, how you get along with others, and what you want
out of life are all very important parts of growing up and
living a healthy, happy life. But these are also the things that
are threatened if you are a victim of child abuse.

You might think, Well, I’m not a child any more. But a person is
considered a “child” up to the age of 18 in most states; 17 in
others.

Even if you are older or you are no longer being abused, abuse
can leave a lot of physical or emotional damage. So it’s
important to take steps to end the abuse if it is still
happening and to begin to heal yourself emotionally so you can
get on with your life.

In the pages that follow, we talk about what child abuse is and
what it is not. We also talk about some of the reasons that
child abuse happens and why it is so important for abused teens
to get help for themselves and, hopefully, for their families.
Then, we talk about how and where to get that help.

What is child abuse? What are the different kinds of abuse?
Abuse is a family problem The abuse is not your fault What are

Running Away

What comes to mind when you think of kids who run away from
home? Teenagers off on an adventure, looking for a good time?
Kids who can return home when it doesn’t work out?

Or maybe you think of the kids who make trouble at school? Who
don’t want to listen to their parents or anybody? Who just want
to do what they want to do?

Or perhaps you think of young people with lots of problems and
parents who don’t care?

Really, there’s no one way to describe young people who run away
or who are homeless, or to describe the backgrounds they come
from. They are males and females; from rich families and poor
families. They may be your daughter or sister, nephew or friend.

Suicide

Most young people end up killing themselves because they simply
don’t know where else to turn. They are in some kind of pain
that seems unbearable and they want the pain to stop. They end
up stopping their entire lives just because they didn’t know
what else to do.

Grieving Our Losses: Maurice Turmel PhD

What is it about Grief & Loss that upsets us so much? Is it the heavy duty emoting that we have to do to get through our suffering? Is it the fear we have about opening ourselves to all this pain? Because, let’s face it, it’s hard down there, in the land of grieving where all those emotions toss us around like a cork on a stormy sea.

We understand that this is necessary, at a surface level, but how we are feeling is what really counts. In that place we call Grief & Loss, is where pain dominates our life and where suffering is the paramount teacher. This is really difficult, and we know it only too well at times like these. We go there because we have to, but we try hard to escape, as soon as possible.

What is necessary now to get through to the end of this process? Is it simply a matter of toughing it out, or, do we have to dredge and dig and pummel ourselves along the way? It’s hard to be sure what we must do at such times.

All those Gurus that say “do it this way or that way,” are they capable of handling it themselves? As a survivor, going through grief, I would want to know that, wouldn’t you? The essence of false advertising is “never having been there yourself,” is it not? Absolutely, this we all know without a doubt.

So what do we require then to move through this landscape called Grief & Loss? We seem to know this at some level, don’t we? We seem to know that deep down where our sorrows dwell, there is an inescapable reality. We have to feel this. Oh yes, it’s an ugly fact, but true nevertheless. We have to feel this pain in order to exorcise it from our bodies. Yes, we have to feel it, so we can learn that this too is survivable. Isn’t that the most important thing in all such activities - to know where you are at in your own heart when you finally get to the truth?

This truth I talk about is your truth, that feeling in your gut when you know you are right. Since this is your truth, then only You can determine its validity for yourself. No guru can ever take you there. Because deep down, this is your “house,” your well-spring of creative experience. What happens here defines your life, tells you who you are and, right now, what you have to suffer at times of grief and loss.

To some that may seem sad though, to arrive in this “feeling” place where grief has brought you. But is it really? Perhaps it’s a better thing than you imagined, this place where truth resides within. Perhaps it’s more than you ever bargained for. Sure, grief brought you here, but what else goes on in this place of tender emotion? How about looking around, since you’re already here?

These are your life lessons after all, to have and to hold, until your truths can be borne. How could you ever have a guru do that for you? No such luck! You have to do it yourself. But what a fantastic opportunity to get to know yourself better, to live deep inside your own heart and soul while this grieving process goes on around you.

Let me assure you that you will survive. You will overcome these tragic effects. Because there is truth in there where you live. And that truth will take you somewhere important - for you! This is Your Truth, remember, and only you can assess, experience and benefit from the effects it will have upon you.

So do it! Allow yourself to descend to where it hurts and find out for yourself what this experience of grief and loss is, and what it can teach you that might correct your misperceptions about Life, Love & Purpose. Yes, you have access to the truth, just as I do, just as we all do. As these lessons arrive, they are yours for the taking. We all get them. Grief and Loss are but one more avenue to help us get to our very own Truth. Yes, the suffering will eventually pass, but the Truth - well, that’s forever!

Maurice Turmel PhD is the author of “Parables on Grief & Loss” and “Parables for a Modern Age.” He was a practicing therapist for nearly 25 years, and is now an Author, Speaker and Performing Songwriter, all on the subjects of Personal Growth, Creative Self-Expression and dealing with Grief & Loss. Planning a baby shower can be a daunting task. This is because
it entails a lot of preparation, things to consider, and
expenses to prepare. After all, baby showers are not just an
ordinary celebration that can be executed even without proper
planning.

That is why preparating baby showers involve the careful
incorporation of ideas as well as the budget for the whole
event. You would not want to come up with something that will
reflect the ‘this-will-do’ attitude of most people.

Consequently, baby shower games, as part of the celebration,
should be meticulously prepared. However, not all baby showers
have games on their plans. But the fact that it is a great
icebreaker, many baby shower coordinators are incorporating the
idea of having baby shower games in the party.

With the advent of the Internet, there are many baby shower game
ideas made available online. The best thing about it is that
most of the baby shower games available on the Internet are
free. Hence, for people who are really tight on the budget, they
can get hold of the benefits that free baby shower games can
give them.

But then again, free baby shower games are not for everybody.
There are people who contend that free baby shower games are not
the ideal games to be used in the baby shower.

Here are some of the drawbacks about the free baby shower games.

1. Free baby shower games do not look nice.

Most people contend that the printouts of the free printable
baby shower games available online are better than the free baby
shower games available in the market. This is because most of
the free baby shower games are just plain handouts, with no
artistic creations embedded in it.

2. Most parents would appreciate it more if you will not use
free baby shower games.

The value or the money is not the issue here but on how baby
shower games are used or executed. Because free baby shower
games usually lacks quality materials, it would be better not to
include them in the party than to make it appear that the event
and the preparation was just taken for granted.

3. If there were a budget, it would be better not to use free
baby shower games.

If you have a budget for the baby shower as well as the games,
it would be better to use the games that were designed
professionally.

Besides, baby shower games are not at all expensive when
compared to free baby shower games.

4. Believe on the saying, you will get what you have paid for.

This would mean that if you have obtained a baby shower game for
free, then, expect something that is not meticulously and
artistically created because there are no capitals or
investments used to make the creation attractive.

If you obtained a baby shower game that is worth your money,
chances are, you will have quality baby shower games to enjoy in
the party.

The bottom line is that baby shower games should not be taken
for granted. It does not essentially mean that free baby shower
games are really bad or is not worth using. But the fact that
the event is such a momentous occasion for the parents-to-be,
then, it would be better to come up with baby shower games that
would reflect the joy and happiness of the people on the arrival
of the baby.

After all, baby shower games are not that expensive so there is
no sense in getting free baby shower games.
